The Malaysia Motorcycle and Scooter Dealers Association (MMSDA), established in 1989, originated from a historic gathering organized by the Selangor Motorcycles Dealers Association in 1986. Recognizing the need for a national body, MMSDA was officially registered on January 31, 1989, with the primary goal of safeguarding the interests of motorcycle dealers across Malaysia.
Motivated by the Selangor and F.T. Motorcycle and Scooter Dealers Association, MMSDA’s journey began with a pro-tem committee formed in 1986. Over the years, the association actively encouraged the formation of state associations, expanding its reach.
With a focus on promoting understanding and studying legislation impacting the motorcycle trade, MMSDA has evolved to include 15 member associations. Emphasizing the importance of regional representation, the association amended its constitution in 2007 to ensure fair and inclusive governance based on the size of each association’s coverage area.
MMSDA remains committed to uniting and advocating for the rights and interests of motorcycle dealers, reflecting its growth and adaptability since its inception.
