Companies of Industry & Trade Association (CITA), abbreviated as CITA, was established in 2011 and officially registered with the Registrar of Societies in Malaysia. Its mission is to unite resources and efforts from business professionals across Malaysia, fostering a robust platform for information sharing. CITA aims to facilitate trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Malaysia and China, promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
Aligned with China’s “Belt and Road” initiative, CITA endeavors to deepen bilateral trade and cooperation while leveraging Malaysia’s market and diplomatic advantages to assist businesses in accessing the vast ASEAN and Muslim-majority markets. Operating on a non-profit basis, CITA actively promotes economic ties between Malaysia and China, supporting SMEs in exploring new markets and attracting foreign investment.
As a one-stop business chamber, CITA offers comprehensive services to Chinese enterprises investing in Malaysia, including company establishment, licensing procedures, government liaisons, trade exhibitions, legal consultations, and more. Moreover, it serves as a bridge for local businesses seeking opportunities to collaborate with Chinese counterparts.
CITA’s diverse membership spans various industries, including agriculture, finance, IT, construction, healthcare, education, media, tourism, and more, making it one of Malaysia’s most vibrant organizational bodies.
In addition to its business endeavors, CITA is deeply committed to charitable and community welfare activities, engaging in environmental protection initiatives, drug recycling programs, waste management education, and support for underprivileged families and schools. During times of crisis, such as floods and pandemics, CITA actively participates in donation drives and relief efforts, demonstrating its dedication to social responsibility. Collaborating with NGOs, CITA plans to expand its food bank initiatives to benefit more communities in need, ensuring warmth and support for all.
